Grave stele of a young woman
named Salonica. She's holding a dove in her left hand by the wings. Faith may play a role here, but white doves would collect the soul of the deceased. The faded one is wrapped in a peplos, a wrapped square cloth, which is secured at the shoulders by robe fibulas.
Place of discovery Nea Kallikratika, Chalkidiki, 440 BC, original size 1.57 m x 0.59 m. Exhibited in the museum in Thessaloniki under the inventory no. 6876.
